Just recently, Angelina Jolie made the news with her own cancer prevention plan. Whether you believe her actions were justified or not doesn’t matter.
What her choice should do, is make you think about genes and the role they play in your life.
The medical community once believed that all our health problems would be solved after we knew and mapped every single gene.
It turns out that rarely is there just one gene involved in a devastating disease such as cancer or other chronic dis-eases.
But, in spite of this, there are still things you can do to prevent or heal your whole being. A faulty gene isn’t a death sentence. It’s knowledge. Period.
What is becoming more and more obvious is our own starring role in preventing or attracting disease.
I am not saying that carrying around unexpressed anger will definitely cause you to get cancer, but studies show there is a link between suppressed emotions and the dis-ease.
Deep healing merges your body with your soul. That’s why it’s not enough to eat your vegetables, exercise, and take supplements if you live in a constant state of anger because you fight with your family day in day out.
The key is fulfillment in all aspects of your life – mind, body and spirit.
I believe we all should strive for fulfillment on every level.
Fulfillment is different from joy; it’s subtler, more underneath like the stable backbone of your life.
